Salma Hayek

SalmaSalma Hayek Pinault born Salma Valgarma Jayek Jimenez (born September 2, 1966)[3][4][5] is a Mexican and American actress as well as film producer. Her career began in Mexico which she played in the television drama Teresa (1989-1991) as well as the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995), which resulted in an Ariel Award nomination. From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999), Dogma (1999) and Desperado (1995) are just some of her numerous Hollywood credits. Hayek's portrayal as painter Frida Kahlo in the biographical film Frida (2002) and the film she also co-produced and directed, was the first Mexican actress to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress[6as well as earning her Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award and British Academy Film Award nominations. Hayek was a part of the action-packed Once Upon a Time in Mexico pictures in subsequent years and concentrated more on producing.
