Ruth Wilson
Ruth Wilson, a Golden Globe Award-winning actress, and a two-time Olivier Award recipient, made her Broadway debut opposite Jake Gyllenhaal in Nick Payne's Constellations. Her best-known role is as Alison Lockhart, in Showtime's "The Affair", for which she took home a Golden Globe Award. The credits on her film include The Little Stranger, Dark River, I Am the Pretty Thing It Lives In the House as well as Suite FranASSaise Locke, Saving Mr. Banks, The Lone Ranger and Anna Karenina. The latter two at the Donmar Warehouse she won Olivier Awards, Best Actress in Anna Christie, opposite Jude Law and Best Actress in A Streetcar Named Desire in A Streetcar Named Desire, which was a duet with Rachel Weisz. Her nomination was for an Olivier Award for Best Actress for Hedda Gabler at the National Theatre. Wilson has been nominated for with eight Emmy Awards for her role in "Luther," a BBC drama that received critical acclaim. "Luther," a BBC miniseries Jane Eyre earned her nominations for BAFTA and Golden Globes, in the category of Best Leading Actress. In 2007, her London performance debut was on stage in Maxim Gorky's Philistines. She also was in the role of Ingmar on the stage in Through a Glass Darkly at the Almeida Theatre.
